The Six Harmonies Pagoda was built in 970 to suppress the tidal bore of the Qiantang River. The 60m brick-and-timber structure has 7 storeys visible externally and 13 internally; visitors can climb to the upper levels for views over the river. The Mid-Autumn Festival is the recommended visit time, when the river's tidal bore peaks.
