What we collect
ChinaVisitGuide is a static content site. We do not require accounts and we do not collect personal information from readers. Server logs (IP, user agent, page requested) are kept by our host for the period needed to operate the service.
Analytics
We use a privacy-respecting analytics tool to count page views and measure popular content. Analytics tracking is aggregate and does not identify individual readers.
Cookies
Minimal. The site uses functional cookies only (e.g. to remember a closed banner). No advertising cookies. No third-party trackers beyond the analytics noted above.
Third-party content
Where we link out to operator websites, embassies or other resources, those sites have their own privacy practices.
Data requests
If you'd like a copy of, or the deletion of, any data we hold that relates to you, email the editorial address. We will respond within a reasonable period.
