Macau with kids
Macau combines its Portuguese colonial heritage with the largest concentration of casino hotels outside Las Vegas, several of which have family entertainment facilities. The compact size means most family attractions are reachable within 30 minutes.
Macau Tower Bungy and Observation
Ages All ages (observation); 14+ for activitiesThe tower's observation deck gives 360-degree views; older children (14+) can do the bungy or skywalk; the observation deck itself is accessible to all ages.

Ruins of St Paul's
Ages 5–14The dramatic facade of the 1602 cathedral (gutted by fire in 1835) is one of Asia's most iconic images; the adjacent Fortaleza do Monte museum has child-friendly history displays.

Hac Sa Beach (Coloane)
Ages All agesDark volcanic sand beach with swimming, beach equipment, and space to run; one of the few genuine beaches accessible from Macau.

Macau Science Center
Ages 5–14Cone-shaped building designed by I.M. Pei with interactive science exhibits, a planetarium, and a children's education section.

Lord Stow's Bakery (Coloane)
Ages All agesThe original Portuguese egg tart bakery; the warm tarts straight from the oven are a reliable hit with children and a tangible cultural experience.
Getting there: Bus to Coloane Village; 40 minutes from peninsula
Seac Pai Van Park in Coloane has a children's playground, a small zoo with pandas and peacocks, and forested walking paths — the most spacious green area in Macau. Hac Sa Beach has beach and lawn areas. Lou Lim Ioc Garden near the Macau peninsula centre is a compact traditional garden with a relaxed atmosphere for young children.
Macanese food — pork chop buns, egg tarts, minchi — is generally accessible for children. The Cotai Strip casino hotels (Venetian, Galaxy, Sands) all have large international food courts with reliable children's options including familiar Western chains. Taipa Village restaurant street has several family-sized tables in a low-key setting. Portuguese egg tarts from Lord Stow's and Margaret's are the universally accepted child food item.
