HONG KONG · FAMILY TRAVEL
Hong Kong with kids
Hong Kong is the most straightforward city in Greater China for family travel — English is widely spoken and signposted, the MTR is clean and reliable, most restaurants have high chairs and children's menus, and the healthcare system is to international standards. Its density means many activities are close together.

Most restaurants in Hong Kong are genuinely child-welcoming; high chairs are standard in chain restaurants and most hotel dining rooms. Dim sum is an accessible family format — small portions at a round table, ordered by name or trolley. Fast-food Cantonese restaurants (茶餐廳, cha chaan teng) serve simple rice and noodle dishes that children usually find approachable. McDonald's and KFC are ubiquitous.
