Which mode should you pick?
Resident applies if you spend 183+ days in China in the tax year. Comprehensive-income basis with a ¥60,000 annual basic deduction.
Non-resident applies to shorter-term workers. Monthly-basis calculation, no annualisation adjustment, but the ¥5,000/month standard allowance is already embedded in the bracket structure.
