China visa for Poland citizens

Polish passport holders are eligible for 30-day visa-free entry to mainland China. Hong Kong 90 days, Macau 90 days.

Polish ordinary passport holders are eligible for the 30-day visa-free entry to mainland China for tourism, business, family visit or transit. Poland joined the programme as part of the 2024 expansion that covered most EU member states.

What you need at the border

  • Passport valid at least 6 months beyond intended stay.
  • Onward ticket.
  • Hotel reservation or address.
  • Digital health and customs declaration on arrival.

Scope

Tourism, business meetings, family visits. Tibet requires the Tibet Travel Permit. Stays beyond 30 days require an L visa from the Chinese Embassy in Warsaw.

Trade context

Poland is a logistics hub for Central and Eastern European trade with China, with significant rail freight connections (the China–Europe freight railway passes through Polish territory). Business travel between the two countries is active, particularly in manufacturing, logistics, and technology sectors.

Hong Kong and Macau

Polish passport-holders are visa-free for Hong Kong (90 days) and Macau (90 days). These are separate from mainland entry rights.
