What you need at the border
- Passport valid at least 6 months beyond intended stay.
- Onward ticket.
- Hotel booking or address.
- Digital arrival declaration.
Relations note
Israel–China relations include significant technology, agricultural, and trade cooperation. As of May 2026, the visa-free arrangement is in force. Given the volatile geopolitical environment of the broader Middle East region in the 2020s, travellers should confirm current status before booking.
Scope
Tourism, business meetings, family visits. Tibet requires the Tibet Travel Permit. Stays beyond 30 days need an L visa from the Chinese Embassy in Tel Aviv.
Entry from Israel
Some immigration authorities in Muslim-majority countries have historically noted Israeli passport stamps. China does not have such a policy; Israeli passport-holders enter on the same basis as other visa-free nationalities.
Hong Kong and Macau
Israeli passport-holders are visa-free for Hong Kong (90 days) and Macau (conditions — verify). Mainland entry is independent.
Practical notes
Tel Aviv–Beijing direct routes operate, as do connections via Gulf hubs. El Al and Air China operate some direct services; frequency varies seasonally.
