China visa for Denmark citizens
Danish passport holders are eligible for 30-day visa-free entry to mainland China. Hong Kong 90 days, Macau 90 days.

Danish ordinary passport holders are eligible for the 30-day visa-free entry to mainland China for tourism, business, family visit or transit. Denmark joined the programme during the 2024 expansion.
What you need at the border
- Passport valid 6+ months beyond stay.
- Onward ticket.
- Hotel reservation or address.
- Digital arrival declaration.
Scope
Tourism, business meetings, family visits. Tibet requires the Tibet Travel Permit. Stays beyond 30 days need a standard L visa from the Chinese Embassy in Copenhagen.
Hong Kong and Macau
Danish passport-holders are visa-free for Hong Kong (90 days) and Macau (90 days). The mainland entitlement is independent.
Greenland and Faroe Islands
Danish passports issued in Greenland or the Faroe Islands carry the same entitlements as mainland Danish passports for China entry purposes. If in doubt, confirm with the embassy.
