Visiting and hours

The Netherlands Embassy in Beijing handles consular matters for Dutch nationals throughout mainland China. Routine passport renewals can often be applied for online through the Dutch government's DigiD system; the Embassy assists with in-person applications and emergency travel documents.

Appointments are required for consular services; book through the Embassy's online appointment portal. The Liangmahe location is in Chaoyang's diplomatic quarter. Emergency assistance outside business hours is available via the duty officer line listed on the Embassy website. Dutch nationals are advised to register their residence in China through the RNI (Registratie Niet-ingezetenen) equivalent for overseas residents.

Addresses, phone numbers, and appointment procedures change. Always confirm current details on the official embassy or consulate website before attending. In genuine emergencies, use the out-of-hours duty line rather than daytime contact numbers.
