Visiting and hours

The Indian Embassy in Beijing provides consular services for Indian nationals across mainland China. Services include passport renewals, OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) card applications and renewals, civil status certificates, police clearance certificates, and emergency travel documents.

India requires appointments for most consular services; book through the Embassy's online portal. The Ritan Road location is in the Chaoyang diplomatic area. For Indian nationals in distress outside business hours, the Embassy duty officer line is listed on the website. The Embassy also handles Passport Seva (Passport Seva Kendra) online processes for passport services that can be initiated digitally.
