Visiting and hours
The Australian Consulate General in Shanghai serves Australian nationals in Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, and Jiangxi. It provides emergency travel documents, welfare assistance, and consular support. Routine passport applications should be lodged online through the Australian Passport Office.
The Nanjing Road location is central and accessible by metro. Appointments must be booked online. Out-of-hours emergencies are handled through the DFAT 24-hour consular emergency line in Canberra.
