Shenzhen College of International Education

深圳国际交流学院 — IB World School (full continuum)

Shenzhen College of International Education (SCIE) is a senior secondary school operating Cambridge IGCSE and IB Diploma programmes. Unlike most international schools, it accepts students from Year 10 (age 14–15) rather than offering a primary or lower secondary programme; families with younger children must use a different school for earlier years and transition to SCIE for the senior pathway.

SCIE's academic results are strong, and the school has developed a reputation for producing IB Diploma students who gain entry to competitive UK, US, and Hong Kong universities. The selective intake — students must meet academic standards to gain entry — produces a high-achieving peer environment.

The campus is in the Nanshan District. The student body includes a significant proportion of Chinese-national students on approved international pathways alongside foreign passport-holders. The admissions process involves academic assessment, and competition for places is real.

For families whose children are at the IGCSE or IB Diploma stage, SCIE is one of the stronger options in Shenzhen. Families arriving with younger children will need to plan a transition at Year 10 entry or use a full K-12 school until that point.

Fees, admission requirements, and year-group availability change annually. Confirm current details directly with the school's admissions office before applying.
